CASE STUDIES

Commercial

Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research

Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease. Established by actor Michael J. Fox in 2000, the Foundation has since become the largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's disease research in the world, investing more than $450 million in research to date. Craven Corporation has been the dedicated project manager since their occupancy at 498 7th Avenue and recently on the design and construction of their new office at 111 West 33rd Street. The new office space spans over 3 floor totaling about 90,000 RSF and included unique program requirements. This required the construction of various conference rooms with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, pantries, huddle rooms, convening spaces and even a terrace for fund raising events. Its unique design and layout will provide an opportunity for the foundation to keep on growing as it strives to find a cure for Parkinson’s.

Property Management

100 Broadway

100 Broadway was built by the American Surety company in the late 1800's and is now designated an historical landmark. This 24 story, 400,000 square foot building was totally vacated in 1998 for a complete renovation, managed by Craven. Other than the façade and the building structure an entire renovation, including all of the infrastructure, was performed over a period of 14 months. The building was leased up in a short period of time, and Craven Management charged with the task of the day to day operations, and continues to do so some 20 years later. During this period there have been three different ownerships. In 2015, Craven oversaw an elevator modernization and building lobby upgrade and 100 Broadway continues to remain a class A building in downtown Manhattan.
